Our aim at St Michael’s is to engage and inspire pupils to develop skills which will enable them to explore their creativity and express their thoughts and feelings through their work.
Across both key stages 1 and 2, children will be taught about the work of artists and develop their ability to evaluate and analyse these works as well as their own. They will also be taught how to compare styles and link the work of other artists to their own work. During their time at St Michael’s children will have opportunities to explore and develop skills in drawing, painting, sculpture as well as other art and design techniques.
