St Michaels School

Co-op Local Community Fund

July 6, 2018 by Lyn Bennett

In July we received the amazing sum of £764.68, which has been raised by those of you who have signed up and nominated the school – a huge Thank You to all of you.

If you not already done so and have a Co-op card, please go online and choose St Michael’s as your nominated fund and you can become a member and choose St Michael’s as your nominated cause. You can join in any co-op store or online www.coop.co.uk/membership.

As you know we are currently fundraising to install play equipment in the Key Stage 2 playground which we hope to start installing from next year. To add to our funds we are raising at school events the school has applied to a number of community funds to help raise the money needed.

Our community funding with the Co-op runs now until 27 October 2018.

Co-op members are able to choose which local community fund they will support. Every time members shop at the Co-op, 1% of what they spend on selected own-brand products and services goes to their chosen Co-op Local Community Fund.

The Coop will also give us an equal share of the money they raise from sales of carrier bags.
